The 24th International Conference on Aquatic Invasive Species will be held at Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Helpful Information

  • Lunch and Refreshments: Lunch and refreshments will be served during the conference. Times and locations will be in the program. Please remember to wear your lanyard and name badge. Please bring a refillable water bottle with you to use throughout the conference. There will be water stations available for your use.
  • Weather: We hope for dry weather throughout the conference but cannot guarantee this! Please ensure you pack for all weathers as umbrellas will not be provided.
  • Social Media: If you aren’t already following us, please do so ahead of conference on LinkedIn, BlueSky, and X. Please tag us in your social media posts and stories and link us in on any LinkedIn posts you make throughout the conference. Our hashtag is #ICAIS26
  • Photography and Video: We will be taking photography and video for the duration of the conference. If you have any concerns regarding this, please contact us by emailing icais@qub.ac.uk
  • Wi-Fi: QUB Guest Wi-Fi (QUB Guest Wifi) is available on campus. Please access via your settings on your device. Additional information can be found here.
  • Lanyards: To help make the conference as sustainable as possible, please ensure you wear your lanyard with name badge throughout.
  • Help & Assistance: Conference volunteers, Queen’s Staff and Security will be available to assist if required. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance if you need it.
  • Food Outlets: There are several coffee shops and convenience stores in the Main Site Area. Botanic Avenue has a wide range of convenient stores, coffee shops and many food establishments both sit-in and take away.
  • Lost Property: For any lost or found items, please contact Security on 02890975099.
  • Cash: ATMs are available across the road from the Main Site at the Ulster Bank and if you are walking towards the city centre you will pass a Tesco Express with an ATM outside it.
  • Luggage: There is no luggage storage facility at the conference venue.
  • Quiet Room: A quiet room will be available for delegates. Please ask a volunteer for availability.
