Dr. Julian D. Olden is a Worthington Endowed Professor at the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, University of Washington, United States. Long driven by an adventuresome spirit, Julian seeks to enrich what is meant by scientific knowledge and practice, striving to increase environmental literacy, and motivated to produce innovative solutions to complex freshwater challenges. Over the past two decades, Julian and his students and collaborators have sought to integrate science-based inquiry with on-the-ground management of aquatic invasive species.
