Doug Jensen is assistant extension professor and AIS coordinator who has incorporated science-based no-nonsense strategies to foster behavior change through community AIS outreach and communication. For nearly three decades, his outreach and research has focused on the nexus of natural resources and social science to change how natural resource managers address AIS. His on-going research is to understand the values, beliefs and motivations that support community norms aimed at preventing and slowing the spread of AIS. In the United States, he helped create and continues to support two successful campaigns, Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers!TM, HabitattitudeTM, and many other regional and local programs. Doug has received many national and regional awards based on outreach efforts and has published dozens of scientific and outreach materials.
